JERSEY SHORE HALF MARATHON
Shore Athletic Club is hosting The Jersey Shore Half Marathon on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Gateway National Recreation Area, better known as Sandy Hook Park in Highlands, NJ. This is a flat and fast course and a great way to prepare for your fall marathon! All entrants will receive a complimentary race long sleeve t-shirt and completion medal! Refreshments will be available to all runners after the race.
The early registration fee is $60 until January 31, 2024. Event day registration is $100 and will be held at the Lifesaving Station located between Lot D & E from 7:00 - 8:45 AM the morning of the race. We strongly encourage you to register early!
Enjoy a beautiful view, celebratory drink and meal at Off the Hook afterwards!
Get a free draft or soft drink with your drink ticket you will receive at bib pick up.
The Jersey Shore Half Marathon has a history that places it as one of the oldest distance events held in New Jersey and the surrounding areas. The first Jersey Shore Marathon was held in 1972. Enjoy a National Recreation Area Park while challenging yourself to run a Half Marathon!

Initial phone consultation once registered to set up training.

Coach Joe is more than happy to tailor your training needs, including additional training packages or services through his coaching program for additional fees. Benefit from an individualized training plan. Set a goal, work hard and succeed with some support! Coach Joe, retired Monmouth University XC and T&F coach, is here to serve all ages and abilities! Coach Joe is also an Experienced Coach and Program Director with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry.

This year we are partnering with the Sandy Hook Foundation, the official nonprofit friends group to the National Park Service at Sandy Hook, NJ, a unit of Gateway National Recreation Area. Established in 1989, the Foundation has funded cultural, educational, environmental, and conservation programs and has helped restore and preserve historic structures of the Sandy Hook Lighthouse and Fort Hancock — both National Historic Landmarks. During registration, participants have the option to make a tax-deductible donation to The Sandy Hook Foundation through, to support the Foundation's work within the park.
The Foundation will also be present at Area E on race day.
