The Shore Athletic Club works hard to serve its mission: "to develop youth and teen long distance and T&F athletes, activate the human spirit by providing competitive events plus promoting long distance running and T&F as lifetime sports."
Our Youth Programs include: the Gone Running Recreation & junior Olympics, Lake Takanassee Series, All Comers T&F Series, Holmdel XC Series and Fun Runs at the Sheehan Classic and Polar Bear Races!
For our youth runners the Shore AC offers a great variety of events. These include the 1/2 mile at Capt. At Gone Running Big Bob's objective is to provide positive experiences through running and fitness training that:
- ultimately lead to living a vibrant and healthy lifestyle; - increase your child's confidence and contribute to improved performance in ANY sport he or she chooses to participate in, such as soccer, football, basketball and baseball. - meet your child's current ability level, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced. When fitness is enjoyable, you get the best, most consistent and most lasting results. When a child has FUN being active, he or she is more likely to make it part of his or her life into adulthood! We take pride in teaching safe, effective running form, drills and techniques that benefit your child in any sport he or she chooses to participates in.
The Gone Running training program is 10 -14 weeks and set up perfectly to get the kids ready for each season’s junior Olympics competition.
