“To develop junior and youth, men’s and women’s open and masters track and field athletes, distance and cross-country runners and racewalkers. We strive to activate the human spirit by providing competitive events for all ages and groups, and to promote the entire sport, in all its categories as lifetime activities."
YOUTH RUNNING IN MONMOUTH COUNTY
Gone Running Recreation & junior Olympics, Lake Takanassee Series, All-Comers T&F Series, Lester Wright, Jr. Youth XC Series and Fun Runs at Capt. Zinn, Big Bang Mile, Sheehan Classic 5K, Jersey Shore Half Marathon, Bill Bruno Alumni XC Race and Polar Bear Races!
For our youth runners the Shore AC offers a great variety of events. These include the 1/2 mile at Capt. Zinn Memorial 5K in April, 1500 meter run (just shy of 1 mile) at the Lake Takanassee Series in July and August, various events at the All Comers T&F Meet Series in July, the 800 meter run (1/2 mile) and kiddie dashes at the Sheehan Classic in August, various distances at the Youth XC Series from Sept. - October, 2 mile run at the Jersey Shore Half Marathon and the 1 mile run at the Polar Bear Races in December and a year round recreation and junior Olympics program called Gone Running, founder Bob Andrews, in Manalapan, Manasquan, Marlboro and Middletown.

ABOUT GONE RUNNING
Founder and owner, Bob Andrew's objective is to provide positive experiences through running and fitness training that: ultimately lead to living a vibrant and healthy lifestyle; increase your child's confidence and contribute to improved performance in ANY sport he or she chooses to participate in, such as soccer, football, basketball and baseball. Meet your child's current ability level, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced. When fitness is enjoyable, you get the best, most consistent and most lasting results. When a child has FUN being active, he or she is more likely to make it part of his or her life into adulthood! We take pride in teaching safe, effective running form, drills and techniques that benefit your child in any sport he or she chooses to participates in. The Gone Running training program is 10 -14 weeks and set up perfectly to get the kids ready for each season’s junior Olympics competition. ABOUT WORKOUT WEDNESDAY
Join us for a professional approach to running and track & field training on Wednesday evenings at Mater Dei Track. This comprehensive workout program, designed for adults and youth of all skill levels, includes warm-up techniques, dynamic drills, endurance and speed training, strength training, flexibility, and mindfulness! The adult and youth groups will be separate, ensuring a focused and effective training environment. This program is for beginners, intermediate and advanced runners. All adult club members work out for free. You don't need to register. The club member discount will automatically apply for youth members at checkout, but you must first sign up as a Shore A.C member.
